LOST and FOUND in Holmfirth

Holmfirth is a charming teeny tiny town in Yorkshire. Why, one of us Lush Designers spent some of her misspent youth combing the rails of a shop called Platform One looking for the ultimate Stevie Nicks style swirly dress made from vintage scarves.

From the rich soil of the Holmfirth cool vintage tradition a lovely shop called LOST and FOUND has sprung. Hurrah! For it sells Lush Designs home wares alongside the groovily restored furniture.

Look at this bonkers lampshade display! They're mad up North!

Of course its also famous for being the location for Last of the Summer Wine.

...and as a special treat here's a lovely pic of Nora Batty and Compo - two stylish residents of Holmfirth with whom you may be familiar...

    1. Hi there, i am so sorry I have only just found this post. The dog chair is one that I designed and have sold through James's beautiful shop. So too the little 1950's bedroom chairs in the picture above. All are now sold, however I will soon have a couple of gorgeous Lomond Wool occasional chairs in. Let me know if you require any further information. I have other vintage finds, including a beautifully re-mastered 1920's drop-arm sprung-seat sofa. Truly a statement piece. It's a hobby I love!

  3. I don't know - you could ask James on the Lost and Found facebook page if he lost or found those lovely dogs!

There is also a Maarvellous company called Lost and Found based here in London - I've blogged it before ... http://www.lostandfounddesign.co.uk/
