Plant form projects

wot, no animules?

No indeed.

Although there's something slightly repto-mammalian about some of these lichen forms.
These designs will be appearing on the end papers of notebooks and the lids of tins, because even the humblest household objects deserve to be delightful.

We love finches

We're most awfully keen on birds here at Lush Designs.

Finches were the inspiration for our newest Siskin shade - here it is in a lovely pale a misty-morning colourway...

... and here are some goldfinches that appeared in our garden the very day we printed our first run of birdy lampshades.

If you too would like to have these lovely colourful birds in your garden or balcony, get a Niger Seed bird feeder, fill it with niger seeds and watch and wait....

Spring and associated products

Does anyone remember this HILARIOUS poem...
"Spring has sprung,
The grass is ris,
I wonder where the birdies is?"
Well we have the answer..
They're here on this new lampshade, designed by us and available from the Lush Designs shops in Greenwich, East Dulwich and Columbia Road, and www.lushlampshades.co.uk/ any minute now

Exclusive

Stop press:  Traces of seahorse found in budget range fish fingers.
That hilarious joke was our sophisticated way of introducing our new aquatically-themed vases. Jolly jellyfish, slinky seahorses and a dear little dab all drift daintily round this lovely new vase which is made, like all our ceramic tablewares, in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of English pottery.

Now, wouldn't they look nice with some eryngiums, some echinops and some eucalyptus foliage in them?

Porcine Paper

Is it all a bit plain?
Minimalism getting you down?
Exhausted by acres of dreary Farrow and Ball tastefulness?
Suffering from mural nakedness?

Help is at hand!
Our popular pigs will soon be available on wallpaper
and it won't be a moment too soon.

even if its wrong it can be right

Making the colours for ceramics is a skilled and complex process involving some trial an error. Whenever a product is sampled some of the early ones are wrong, but in a good way. Our china is made in Stoke on Trent by Edwards and Lockett, and their David let me have some samples to take back to London with me.

These three cups and saucers look excellent in front of this plate by painter Stewart Helm, flanked by a voodoo doll with our Billy's face on it and a Sudanese Dinka pipe.

I tell thee, I should have been one of them there stylists.
